Local MP Mary Macleod is encouraging people to support the fight against cancer by participating in the 18th Fullers London Pride 10k, a sponsored run or walk along the River Thames in Chiswick, on Sunday, 22nd June 2014.

This will be Mary’s third time running the event and she is calling on local residents to get involved, either by running or walking and encouraging others to join in the day.

Mary commented: "Since 1996, the Fullers London Pride 10k run has raised over £1m for Cancer and I would encourage all residents and businesses to support this amazing initiative and help save lives. The money goes straight to Hammersmith Hospital to help experts cure cancer, so please do get involved in this truly great local cause.”

Scientists at the Hammersmith Hospital are working on many aspects of cancer, from basic biology through to clinical trials to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
