A talk by James Marshall, Local Studies Librarian, Hounslow Library will be held at Chiswick Town Hall on October 17 from 7.15pm to 10.15pm on the subject of gunpowder.

He will talk about how gunpowder was made at the mills on Hounslow Heath and how Curtis and Harvey of Hounslow came to dominate the British gunpowder industry, owning powder mills all over the country.


Postcard dealers this evening are club members.
