British Transport Police officers have released images of a man and woman they want to speak with in connection with a vicious unprovoked attack on a woman at Goldhawk Road London Underground station.

The incident happened around 6pm on Sunday, October 12 when the victim was leaving the station.

Detective Constable Oliver Carne says: " The 26-year-old victim, a Polish national, was approached by a man and a woman, who both questioned her about her nationality.

" The woman was then punched and kicked a number of times, leaving her with bruising and swelling to the right side of her face.

"I am very keen to speak to the people in the CCTV images I have issued today, as they may hold vital information that could help us in our investigation.

" I would like to hear from anyone who was at Goldhawk Road station in the early evening of 12 October, or in the area and witnessed the attack. If you know the two people in the CCTV images, please get in contact with BTP."

Anyone with information is asked to contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40, or text 61016, quoting reference TSUB/B5 of 27/10/14.
