You can your Christmas tree out for recycling with your garden waste collection during January. Don't forget to remove any decorations or root balls.

If you live in a flat, you can also have your Christmas trees collected, by calling our call centre on 020 8583 5555 or email recycling@hounslow.gov.uk in January to book a collection.

Alternatively, Christmas trees can be dropped off at the following sites between 2-17 January from 8am-3pm:

  • Gunnersbury Park - main car park, Popes Lane Gunnersbury

  • Hounslow Heath - car park, Staines Road (next to the visitor centre)

  • Hanworth Air Park - car park area, entrance on Hounslow Road, Hanworth

The trees will be chipped and used in the council’s parks.

Waste collections will return to normal from next Monday, January 13th but due to holidays, they are taking place a day later this week - if your refuse is collected normally on Fridays, it will be collected on Saturday.
