A new community-driven family club, Mumadoo, is set to open in Chiswick in summer 2026, and is already oversubscribed, with a waiting list forming within weeks of it launching on Instagram. Founded by Katie Sayles, who has lived in Chiswick for over 22 years, Mumadoo was born from her own experience of early motherhood, and the powerful role connection plays during that time. Like many new mums, Katie found her NCT group to be a lifeline in those early newborn days. What followed was something deeper: a growing network of women who became her community. Offering support, friendship, and a sense of belonging well beyond those early months. But the idea of creating spaces for connection wasn’t new. Over a decade ago, Katie founded Katie’s Club, a pop-up members’ club for families, building a loyal following across West London and creating a place for people to come together. Plans to develop that idea further under the name 'Katie’s House' were paused following the loss of her mother. Returning to that undeniable instinct, that parents need to connect, through the lens of motherhood brought everything into focus, and Mumadoo was born, built on years of Katie’s desire to create community for parents. Built on the belief that when parents connect, everything feels lighter, Mumadoo is designed to offer a space where families can come together, feel supported, and spend time meaningfully. Today, Mumadoo is a community-driven family club, designed to help parents connect. Thoughtfully curated, it brings together children’s classes, adult sessions, a crèche, and, at its heart, a restaurant where parents can connect while their children play. Mumadoo is also home to some of the most beautiful children’s parties in London, with carefully styled tablescapes, Meri Meri decorations, and luxury party bags included as standard. Designed to feel effortless for parents and magical for children, they bring a new level of thought and care to family celebrations.
The space, designed by Jojo Barr of House Nine, reflects the same ethos: calm, welcoming, and intentionally uncomplicated. A place to pause, connect, and feel at home. Deeply rooted in its local community, Mumadoo partners with a carefully selected group of high-quality local businesses, creating a collaborative “one community” feel while supporting the area it calls home.
Katie is already well known to many local families, having founded music club Tiny Maestros and later Katie’s Club, both of which built loyal followings across West London. With Mumadoo, she brings that experience into a permanent home on Chiswick High Road, shaped around what modern families truly need: connection and community. Mumadoo opens in Chiswick in summer 2026. Membership is limited, with a waiting list now open.
