Creative Woodwork called in to create a bespoke home office for ITV's 60 Minute Makeover
The rising reputation of a bespoke furniture and cabinet maker has led to the company taking part in a national TV show which will be aired on Wednesday 6th April on ITV at 2.00pm. When the producers of ITV1 series 60 Minute Makeover were called in to create a home office at a house in North London, they turned to Creative Woodwork, Chiswick’s bespoke high quality design and furniture manufacturer. The company’s unique blend of traditional craftsmanship with modern IT technology meant it could meet the TV show’s tight deadlines. Marc Hickey, Creative Woodwork’s owner and managing director, said: “The show was extremely hard work, but a lot of fun. “Our unique selling point in the local market is the software we utilise, which gives us complete freedom to create virtual furniture and make live changes. This allowed us to deliver a totally bespoke solution for 60 Minute Makeover, in a very short space of time. It typically takes six weeks and we did it in one week! The company uses specialist software to create the right solution for every customer’s space. These virtual pieces can be adjusted at the touch of a button, allowing clients to change look and feel - and see instant results. The designs are converted into wood and hand assembled by craftsmen at Creative Woodwork’s Colville Road premises. The company never relies on “off the peg” designs – the designers work closely with every client, creating an exclusive offering to meet their spatial, aesthetic and functional requirements. Creative Woodwork’s rising reputation has seen its work featured in home and interior magazines and the company also counts a growing number of celebrities as clients, from comedians and sports personalities to TV and radio presenters. Founded five years ago, the company has grown to employ 10 people, carving a reputation as a true specialist in custom-built bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms and home offices. The entire process, from design to manufacture and finish, is carried out at Creative Woodwork’s Colville Road premises. Marc Hickey added: “By combining the best of modern and traditional techniques, Creative Woodwork can provide a high quality bespoke service that is also very cost-effective. “Most companies will modify an existing design and shoehorn it to try and fit a customer’s needs. We take the time to find out what the customer really wants - and then deliver it.” For more information, contact 0208 993 4666, email sales@creativewoodwork.co.uk, or visit the website at www.creativewoodwork.co.uk.
