A picnic will be held at Turnham Green (with some celebratory freebies) on Earth Day 12 noon – 2pm, Sunday 22nd April 2018 near the War Memorial, opposite Waitrose.

More than one billion people now celebrate Earth Day, making it one of the largest civic observances in the world. This year the Friends of Turnham Green, Abundance London and Hounslow Cycling Campaign are organising the Earth Day Picnic.

There will be a free tree map from The Street Tree & TreeTalk. Explore Turnham Green’s local trees and follow a walking trail with TreeTalk. There are some amazing trees on and around the Green. TreeTalk is created by Steve Pocock and Paul Wood (author of London's Street Trees: A Field Guide to the Urban Forest).

You can also join a feeder bike ride from Hounslow or Brentford, organised by Hounslow Cycling Campaign and there will be free seeds and elderflower cordial from Abundance London.
