A woman who suffered a broken pelvis after being hit by a car is appealing for witnesses.

The incident happened on Thursday 25th March on the zebra crossing outside Heathfield House School, on Heathfield Terrace.

The driver of the car, who reportedly failed to stop at the scene, has since been found but the victim needs to speak to anyone who witnessed the accident - in particular the lady driver of a red car - as Police are unable to take the case any further unless someone else is able to corroborate her story.

The victim, who was wearing a black Henley's jacket and black trousers at the time, has given her account of what happened. She states, "I was hit by a black car on Thursday 25th March at around 2.00pm on the zebra crossing in Heathfield Terrace Road, outside Heathfield House School by Chiswick fire station.

"I am appealing for anyone with any information as I am looking for the lady in the red car that stopped to ask if I was ok as I got up from the accident. She then drove off up to HSBC bank and stopped at the traffic lights, got out of her car and went to talk to the man in the black car.

"I reported this at Chiswick police station and was then taken to hospital. I am now suffering with a broken bone in my pelvis."
