The victim was tended to by the emergency services at the scene but was pronounced dead at 6pm. Although a formal identification has yet to take place police have already informed his next of kin.

The bus driver stopped at the scene. He has not been arrested and is assisting detectives with their enquires. Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Merton are investigating.
