New local band seeks lead singer Award Winning Alternative Rocker Searches For Vocalist Chiswick based, award
winning songwriter Michael Axiotis is looking for a lead vocalist to join
his new band. Originally from South Africa, Michael has played in various
groups for some years. His most recent achievement was becoming a finalist
in the Rock/Alternative Category of the UK The prestigious UK Songwriting Contest received 2,500 entries this year, by comparison, Eurovision received around 700 from the UK. Around 20% of the songwriting entries come from abroad making the contest an international event. Founded through an association of Music Aid (www.musicaid.org) The World Music Foundation and The BRIT Trust (the organisation behind the BRIT Awards, The BRIT School and the BRIT Studio), the Judges included representatives from all these organistions. Currently Michael is hopeful of attaining a publishing offer for his award winning song and is also in the process of forming a new band with an old friend and is looking for a vocalist who would be able to perform most of their Rock / Alternative material.
