A centre for training NHS staff in critical subjects such as infection control and life support has been opened in Chiswick Business Park.

Enjoy Work, who manage the office development, have given temporary access to The Health & Safety Group (HSG) to a 10,000 sq ft room to allow their courses for key workers to take place while maintaining social distancing.

This has allowed HSG which trains over 100,000 key health workers every year to resume their work for the first time since lockdown

This refresher training ensures that nurses and other healthcare workers are kept up to date with the latest knowledge to maximise patient safety.

Training will be available for all Healthcare Professionals in London from 6 June, incorporating strict social distancing and infection prevention precautions.

HSG will be able to provide over 1,000 healthcare professionals with essential certificates that will allow them to remain in work or return to work to support the NHS.

Adrian Simpson, Managing Director of The Health & Safety Group says, ‘Without this essential training during the pandemic, there could have been further risk posed to our fantastic healthcare system. Every effort to increase patient safety contributes to winning the Covid battle.’

Matt Coulson, CEO of Chiswick Park Enjoy Work, Chiswick Park says, ‘Health workers in the UK are working hard and risking their lives to fight Covid-19. At Chiswick Park, we understand that we all have a role to play in ensuring people’s safety and wellbeing. We are therefore very happy to support our Guest Company The Health & Safety Group and thank them for their role in this pandemic.’
