Chiswick actor Dougray Scott will play the role of Sir Matt Busby in a new BBC drama United which will begin shooting this December.

The 45 year old former Desperate Housewives star (left) will play the boss of the youngest to ever football team to win the English league in 1956, the same team that lost eight players in the Munich air crash two years later.

Former Doctor Who David Tennant will play assistant manager Jimmy Murphy while Jack O'Connell will play Bobby Charlton.

United is expected to air on BBC Two in 2011.
