A new large vaccination centre has been launched at the Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre on Chiswick High Road.

The site has started offering vaccinations from this Tuesday (23 March).

The centre is run by Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, as part of a collaborative effort with Hounslow Council.

The large-scale site is located nearby to Gunnersbury Underground Station and Kew Bridge Railway Station, and offers thousands more vaccinations each week. The launch of the centre comes as the NHS focuses on the latest priority groups who are eligible for the vaccine - people aged 50 and over and people with long term health conditions.

You don’t need to wait to be invited if you are eligible for the vaccine, and can go online or phone to book your appointment at the centre. Visit this link anytime or call 119 free (7am to 11pm, seven days a week).

Pippa Nightingale, NW London lead for the vaccination programme said, “We are very pleased to open a new vaccination centre at Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre, which will allow more of our local residents to receive a Covid-19 vaccine when they are eligible to do so. Our vaccination programme across NW London continues to progress at pace, and is helping to protect an ever greater share of people from the harmful effects of coronavirus.”

Cllr Steve Curran, Leader of Hounslow Council, said, “Thanks to hard-working healthcare workers, the vaccination programme has reached borough residents safely and quickly over recent months. High vaccine take-up levels have been achieved and that's a real morale boost for everyone on our way back to normal life. This new centre makes vaccination even more accessible as the eligibility criteria gets broader and we work along the roadmap towards coming out of national lockdown.”
