Thieves have stolen silverware valued at nearly £3000 from St Pauls Church in Grove Park Road.

The church was entered over the night of Sat 9th/Sun 10th of April by theives who forced out a window. They stole five silver ornamental cups worth £1200, one solid silver wine flagon engraved with the words "St Paul's Church Christmas 1871" valued at £600, a silver cup with lid worth £250 and a solid silver plate and bowl worth £800.
