The Police in Chiswick

Chiswick 20th Scouts were burgled last Thursday 12th July during a scout meeting.

Whilst the scouts were away from the hut (situated in the car park) playing in the Chiswick House nursery grounds during their last meeting of the season, and three of the adults were in the office inside the scout hut, opportunist thieves entered the fenced compound and stole bags and phones from the kitchen.

The incident happened sometime between 19.30 and 19.50. Property stolen included a black ladies purse, Nokia 62 20, a woman's driving licence, Nationwide and Lloyds Bank cards and a silver boy's mountain bike with a red "O" on the crossbar.

According to one of the Scout leaders attempts were made to steal a second bike but they were deterred by a reflective belt tied to it.

Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact Hounslow Crime Management Unit 0208 247 6442.
