Bogus Workman Dupe 92 Year Old Woman

Gaining entry to her home by claiming to be from the water board

A 92-year-old female resident of Thames Road answered the door to a man claiming to be from Water Board.

The man told her that a washing machine had flooded and that he needed to turn off the water.

Once inside the suspect took the elderly woman into the kitchen where he asked her to turn the kitchen sink tap on and hold it whilst he checked the pipes in the cupboard below.

He then instructed her to keep holding the taps whilst he went to the bathroom opposite the kitchen to check the water in there.

During this time another man entered the living room and searched through the cupboards and draws.

Both male suspects ran from the premises empty handed joining up with two other suspects who all made their way towards Brentford.

Suspect 1 – Male, white, 36 – 40 years approx, 5’8”, wearing blue hooded jumpers. Suspect 2 – Male, white 26 – 30 years approx, 6’0”, thin build also wearing a blue hooded jumper.
