The Police in Chiswick

Police are appealing for help in identifying the body of a woman discovered in the water near Chiswick Bridge, - on the north shore west of the bridge.

Police were alerted by 2 canoeists at 8 'clock yesterday evening (Monday 19th July) after they spotted the body of a female near the riverbank. On arrival they discovered the body of a female.

The woman is described as black, mid to late 30's, approximately 5'8"-5'10" tall, of a slight build with short dark afro style hair.

A woman matching the description of the deceased was seen walking barefoot on Monday 19th July at about 17.30 in the Hartington Road, Grove Park, Thames Village area of Chiswick.

She was wearing a white Lacy bra (no top), pink floral skirt knee length and a black jumper cardigan tied around her waist with the knot to the front. She was carrying a pair of knee length black suede boots (within the boots were yellow t-shirt and a creamy coloured zip type purse and a nylon type silver zip top make up bag).

Can you help? Did you see this woman on the 19 July? Are you aware of who she might be? Anyone who can help is asked to call DS Martin Cole on 020 8247 6138/6156
