Police are appealing information relating to a theft of a mobile phone on Sunday 21st November at 7.30pm.

A woman was proceeding down Chiswick High Road when two youths came up behind her on bikes. They attempted to snatch her phone but she resisted and in the resulting struggle, she and one of the youths fell into the road. The phone was grabbed from her and the youths made away down towards the main shopping area of Chiswick.

The two suspects are described as aged around 16, one with fair hair and one with dark hair. They were both riding red mountain bikes. The phone stolen was a silver Sony Erikkson T610.

Chiswick police would like to remind mobile phone owners that keeping a record of the 'IMEI' number of a phone makes it easier for the to trace stolen phones and with some networks this can be used to disable the phone making it useless to thieves. The IMEI number can generally be found by removing the battery.
