Another man from Ealing who was arrested at the same time has been bailed to return to a west London police station in early May.

The guns and drugs were found on the evening of Sunday 19th April when police, acting on information received stopped a VW Passat on Ruislip Road, Greenford, near Ravenor Park, and a Ford Galaxy on the M4 junction with Windmill Road.

Officers searched the VW Passat and found what was believed to be a loaded Uzi pistol in the rear passenger seat footwell. It was subsequently confirmed to be a converted Mac 10 machine pistol. Approximately 10kg cannabis and what is believed to be between £6,000 and £10,000 - which was seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act - were stowed in shopping bags on the back seat.

Rasaid was arrested along with Hamza Jama who was in the back of the car. The Ford Galaxy was stopped as it was seen leaving a street in convoy with the VW Passat. The driver and the passenger were subsequently arrested on suspicion firearms and drugs offences.

Detectives subsequently searched three residential addresses - one on Greenlawn Lane, Hounslow, from which they recovered ballistic body armour; one on Fletcher Road ; and one on Cedar Grove, Ealing.
