A man has been arrested and charged with grevious bodily harm following a stabbing in Brooks Road last week.

A man aged around thirty, was injured in the attack which is believed to have happened following an altercation between two men.

The incident happened around 4pm in the afternoon on Friday, 18 November. Brooks Road is between Wellesley Road and Stilehall Gardens.

Several people who were taking children home from Strand on the Green primary school witnessed the attack and police sent out an appeal for witnesses.

One resident told chiswickw4.com that he was not allowed to leave his house as the area was being preserved as a crime scene for some time and the road was closed off for four hours, causing traffic congestion.

A police spokesman said that a man was arrested and subsequently charged.

The police said it appeared to be an isolated incident.
