Simon Emeny, the Managing Director of Fuller's Inns, is adding a personal aspect to the recently announced sponsorship by the brewery of the Flora London Marathon. He has decided to participate in this year's race which takes place on Sunday, 22nd April.

He was born in Chiswick and, despite living all over the country, he now works just 200 yards from his birthplace. He spends a lot of his time in Chiswick, visiting his pubs (and those of his competitors), going to his office at Fuller’s Brewery, or sampling the delicacies of the various eateries around Turnham Green Terrace.

Simon now lives in Kew and if you are lucky you might just spot him running along the towpath as he gears himself up for this year’s Marathon. Simon is running to raise money for ‘Help the Hospices’, a charity he has supported for many years. He is currently working with suppliers at Fuller’s to ensure that they dig deep and help him with his fundraising.

Simon Emeny said: “When London Pride became the official beer of the Flora London Marathon, I decided it was the perfect time to dig out my running shoes and start raising money for my chosen charity. Help the Hospices is an extremely worthy cause and I am very much looking forward to finishing the race and giving them the money I raise. I am also looking forward to my colleagues handing me a celebratory pint of London Pride as I crossed the finish line – I just hope I can drink it”
