Chiswick's Fuller, Smith & Turner P.L.C. has been named Regional Brewer of the Year at The Publican Awards 2007, held this week at the Grosvenor House Hotel.

The award highlights the regional brewer that has stood out from its peers with its performance over the past 12 months and Fuller’s is the first brewer ever to have retained the title.

The Publican Awards’ judges were particularly impressed by the speed and success of the integration of the Gales Brewery business, acquired in late 2005 and they commented on the level of teamwork required throughout the company in achieving this.

Michael Turner, Fuller’s chief executive, said,“To win this award two years running is quite a feat. It’s the award that every regional brewer wants and it is even sweeter as retaining the title is much more difficult than winning it the first time.

“This is very exciting news and I’m very proud of the work the whole team has put in to help us retain the title. We had an excellent year in the lead up to our first win so to top that with another great year is fantastic.”
