Chiswick's Fuller Smith & Turner P.L.C., the capital's last remaining traditional family brewer, has had four of its beers decorated with awards by the drinks industry.

Fuller’s London Porter was announced as winner of the World Beer Awards 2007 prize for the World’s Best Porter and was also recognised by the International Beer Challenge as one of the World’s 50 Best Beers.

London Pride, Discovery and ESB were also recognised as three more of the World’s 50 Best Beers, securing four places in the top 50 for Fuller’s.

John Roberts, managing director of The Fuller’s Beer Company, said, “Fuller’s aim has never been to be the biggest brewer in the world, but to be the best.

“Receiving awards like these, for a number of different beers, is a clear indication that they are revered across the globe and that we have a great range of brews for our customers to choose from.

“Very few of our peers can boast such a great number of award winners in their portfolio and we are very proud to add these new ones to our growing trophy cabinet.”
