Motorists who try to avoid paying to park their vehicles on Chiswick Mall could find themselves being penalised with more than just a PCN.

According to one resident, some drivers attempt to save the cost of a ticket by parking on the slipway into the river. Chiswick Mall and the surrounding streets have both residents parking and pay and display bays, the slipway however, has neither.

Despite warning signs that the road is liable to flooding and messages from the local residents' association asking motorists not to park on the slipway, the owner of this mini (see photo below) still took the risk.

An unconfirmed report from a bystander stated that the unfortunate car was the property of a certain Chiswick estate agency.
