Devonshire Road has been reopened after being closed off for three days because of Thames Water works.

Hounslow Highways said that there was waterpipe reinstatement work going on and they apologised for any inconvenience. A resident was having a water supply piped to a first-floor flat.

The road was closed from Prince of Wales Terrace to Glebe Street.

Local businessman Mike Moran of Top Hat Cleaner said businesses had been inconvenienced by the work - he said he was about half as busy as usual due to the disruption of traffic. Five car parking spaces had been lost and delivery vans could not get to load and unload. He said he would have liked to have seen a letter of explanation and apology to all the affected shops and flats.
