Local Scout Group Out to Raise £65,000

Scouts and Guides in Chiswick

The 3rd Chiswick Scout Group will be helping busy shoppers pack their bags at the Chiswick Sainsbury’s on Sunday December 12, from 11 am till 5 pm.

3rd Chiswick, founded in 1909, continues to thrive and has recently completed a £70,000 extension to their Scout Hut to provide new access, toilet and shower facilities. A £30,000 loan for the new works has still to be paid off.

Last years bag pack raised £600 and Group Scout Leader Neal Andrews is hoping to do even better this year. 'Chiswick shoppers were tremendous last year and if we can do an even better job, I am sure their response will be fantastic and we can make further progress in reducing the loan.'

The 3rd Chiswick has both girl and boy scouts, over sixty are now attending on a weekly basis. If you would like to know more about the Groups activities, either as a parent or as a possible leader, please call Neal Andrews on 07973 740946.
