New Year Honours for Chiswick Residents

Achievements of local people recognised

There were a number of honours for local people in the New Year's honours list.

Property developer Roger Madelin has been given a CBE in recognition of his services to sustainable development. He is the joint chief executive of Argent Ltd. which is currently responsible for the massive project in the King's Cross area, one of the largest central London development schemes since the 19th century.

Lady Lloyd of Berwick, who is the Chair of Family Welfare Association, received an MBE for charitable services. Her husband is a member of the House of Lords.
