Plans to hold a major pop festival in Chiswick House Grounds have been unveiled.

Organised by High Road House, the event is set to take place on Thursday 5th July with all the proceeds going directly towards the restoration of the Amphitheatre.

The tickets will be on sale to club members from Monday 14th May before being made available to the local community.

In their spring newletter, Friends of Chiswick House state, "Out of consideration for local residents and park users, we wanted to share this information well in advance.

The event is scheduled for the late afternoon and evening in early July, and like the Chiswick House Friends Opera in June, will be held behind the House.

We are in the final stages of the fundraising campaign to match the offer of funds from the Lottery, and this presents a very valuable ‘one-off’ opportunity. The event will raise a significant amount of money to support the restoration of the park.

The costs will be covered entirely by a sponsor, The central part of the gardens will need to be closed off for a limited period during that day, from the River to the Ha Ha, but all other areas of the park will be open."

Further details about the event aimed at Chiswick's local community will be made available when confirmed.
