Last weekend Chiswick based charity artaid raised £1200 for three important charities - Breakthrough Breast Cancer Medicins Sans Frontiers and Unicef.

Chiswick business woman Kim Huntley and local artist Susan Forsyth spent the Bank Holday weekend running a silent auction of crafts and paintings at the British Crafts Spring Exhibition at Chiswick Town Hall.

Kim said "We are delighted with the amount of money artaid has raised", adding that "There were many bargains on offer and the quality of the work donated by makers at British Crafts and Redlees Studios was very high."

Susan was pleased with the amount raised for her painting ‘Spring Flowers’, "The lady who bought it came back each day to check the bidding – so I know it’s going to a good home and the money raised is going to three important charities."
