Two top actors have joined the line-up for the 48th Bedford Park Festival, Chiswick’s biggest arts and community event which will run from June 7th to 22nd 2014 . Kevin McNally, who lives in Chiswick and played Jack Sparrow's sidekick Gibbs in all four Pirates of the Caribbean films, will open the Festival, on Saturday June 7th at the start of Green Days weekend.

Last year, the Festival was opened by his wife Phyllis Logan, who plays the housekeeper Mrs Hughes in Downton Abbey.

Kevin McNally will be heard later this year on BBC Radio 4, recreating Tony Hancock's part in five newly-discovered Hancock's Half Hour scripts.

Peter Egan, currently performing at the Old Vic in Other Desert Cities, will take part in A Good Life in Bedford Park: Remembering Richard Briers, with whom he recorded four series of the hit BBC comedy Ever Decreasing Circles.

Friends of Richard Briers, who lived in Bedford Park for 50 years, will pay tribute to him, watch clips from his performances, and recall their memories of the man who brought enjoyment to audiences all over the world.

Full details of all Festival events can be found at www.bedfordparkfestival.org where tickets can be booked online.
