The Chiswick Pier Trust are looking for trustees and volunteers and members to join their team.

They are looking for local people who care about their community and want to make it even better and who value the River Thames and want to make its great beauty, its historical and ecological interest more accessible to all.

Their annual general meeting will be held on 15 November at which they will need to elect new trustees.

In return they can offer a Pier House used by the RNLI, a Canoe Club, the Sea Cadets and the Thames Explorer Trust; rooms available for hire. Piers and pontoons used by eight residential boats, visitors’ boats, trip boats, the RNLI, Canoe Club and Sea Cadets.

They want to extend their charitable activities and so are looking for people with an interest in and enthusiasm for their work, an understanding of the organisational needs of a charitable trust, special skills, knowledge and experience such as in community activities, financial matters, the law, the river, boating or education and good social skills – friendly, welcoming, able to relate well to other trustees, staff, volunteers, trust members and the public.

Saints positively welcome!
