Two members of Chiswick parishes, Andy Rooney from St Nicholas and Alan Trigle from St Michael and All Angels, were ordained Deacon by the Bishop of London on Saturday 4th July.

They joined 38 other ordinands in a packed St Paul's Cathedral where at the climax of a joyous service, the Bishop laid hands on each of them, praying for them to "Receive the Holy Spirit for the life and work of a Deacon in God's Church".

Andy will serve at Holy Innocents in Hammersmith, and Alan at St Thomas Kensal Town, and both will also continue in secular employment, as banker and translator respectively.
