Chiswick and Latymer 1st XI won a thrilling game at Whitton Park on Saturday, beating Kidmore End by 2 wickets.

The home team was set an imposing 260 to win, thanks to centuries from Ian Cuthbertson and Jeff Sheldon for Kidmore. After an excellent start with half centuries to Wes Van den Berg and Harpreet Bhatia, Jon San Jose (55 not out) helped see Chiswick home with 10 balls to spare.

The second, third and fourth elevens all drew their matches, the highlights being a defiant 65 for Steve Van Eeden for the 3rd XI at Slough, and a maiden half century for the club from Rowan Plotz, who scored 85 for the 4th XI against Datchet 3rd XI. The 5th XI had a good win against Chesham, winning by six wickets
