Chiswick and Latymer got the new season underway with a big win against Bagshot at Whitton Park on Saturday. Playing in division 2A of the Morrants Thames Valley League, this was the perfect way to start the push for promotion to Division 1. Wes Van der Berg scored an impressive 128 not out in Chiswick’s imposing total of 262-7. In reply Bagshot were all out for 160, Sunni Singh starring with the ball, taking 7 for 66

Chiswick and Latymer 2nd XI, newly promoted to division 3B put up a good fight against Maidenhead and Bray, before eventually losing by 2 wickets. Nick Badman top scored for Chiswick with 73. The 3rd XI held on for a thrilling draw against Eversley 2nd XI I division 5B, with skipper Toby Clarke taking a wicket on the last ball of the game to leave both teams on 202. The 4th XI, also promoted last year, lost to Datchet 3rd XI by 8 wickets

Meanwhile, in the Fullers Sunday Old Boy League, Chiswick and Latymer had a good win against Old Emmanuel, Paul Piper top scoring with 43 in a good team effort chasing 220, to win by 3 wickets.
