Liven up those Autumn evenings with dramatic explorations. Beginners can take first steps, old stagers can brush off the rust and go further. We will start with some theatre games and improvisation and then we will investigate creating characters and their relationship to each other.

Finally, we will find out how words are ‘lifted’ off the page and into credible life (try listening to the dialogue in a ‘soap’ and imagine it just as words on a script !).

All ages welcome.

Acting for adults Tuesdays 7.30 pm-9.30 pm from November 2nd at Chiswick Theatre Arts, 2 Belmont Road, Chiswick W4 5BQ.

To book your place or for more information please call 020 8987 0364

Cost: 6 weeks £90.00 Drop-In £18.00 per class

Acting for Adults is lead by Mark Woolgar

Mark holds an English Honours Degree and Diploma of Education from Oxford University. Mark entered the theatrical profession via a trainee director-ship with the Bristol Old Vic Company, where he directed 13 productions and developed the Company’s education and outreach work. Since then he has directed over 250 productions from Greek tragedy to pantomime, Shakespeare to musicals in locations from San Francisco to Aberdeen!

For 7 years he directed the Derby Playhouse, moving the company to a new theatre, doubling attendance figures and transferring his production of The Seagull to the West End. For another 7 years Mark was Head of the Postgraduate Course at Guildford School of Acting.

Mark runs the Richmond Drama School within Richmond Adult and Community College and teaches Drama Courses for the London centre of 2 American Universities. Chiswick Theatre Arts are delighted that Mark will be joining their team.
