Benefit beauty bar and make-up shop in Chiswick is to close in early January.

The branch, which had been earmarked for closure almost a year ago was given a reprieve last February but staff have now been told the last day of trading will be January 4th.

Some staff from Chiswick are being relocated to other branches in London and others have chosen to leave the company.

Benefit has been on the High Road for almost four years. An American-founded chain, the shops are popular for their candy-store decor and whimsical atmosphere.

It is not yet known what the future plans are for the premises.
