A pedestrian has been injured after being hit by a van on Sutton Court Road this Friday afternoon (15 September).

The collision occurred near the junction with Barrowgate Road at 12:37pm.

Police tape could be observed near the northbound bus stop and the road was closed to traffic between Barrowgate Road and Wavendon Road.

It remained closed at 8pm and a police officer at the scene said that they were awaiting details of how serious the injuries were to the victim who had been taken to hospital.

There was widespread congestion during the Friday evening rush as a result of the road closure.

A Met Police spokesperson said that further details would be issued in due course if the incident was particularly serious.
