Accused of perverting the course of justice after Blue Stevens's death
Three men from Chiswick are among six people charged with perverting the course of justice following the murder of 24-year-old Blue Stevens, who was fatally stabbed in Knightsbridge last July. Nicholas McCoy, 23, of Compton Crescent, and Mozahedul Alam, 26, of St Thomas Road, appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday 9 February. They were joined by 20-year-old Shafwan Meah, also of St Thomas Road, who faces the same charge. All six men were charged on Saturday 10 January and have been released on bail to appear at the Old Bailey on Monday 9 March. The other defendants are Adnan Hindawi, 25, of Mostyn Grove, Tower Hamlets, Ali Hindawi, 24, of Accolade Avenue, Southall and Jayden Clement-Bryan, 25, of Southville Close, Feltham, 25-year-old Youssef Razak is wanted in connection with the murder investigation but has yet to be apprehended. The charges follow a series of arrests made in the days after the killing. On Saturday 12 July 2025, police arrested two men in their twenties at an address in Hounslow. One was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and remains in custody; the other was bailed pending further enquiries. Following those arrests, detectives obtained warrants to search two properties in Chiswick. Evidence recovered during those searches led to a further arrest on Monday 14 July, when another man was detained on suspicion of assisting an offender. Police were called to Seville Street, outside the five-star Park Tower Hotel in Knightsbridge, at 9.24pm on Wednesday 9 July 2025 after reports of a stabbing. Blue Stevens was with his partner and on his way to dinner at Nusr-et, a steak restaurant operated by celebrity chef Salt Bae. The motive for the attack is not known but detectives believe it may have related to an attempt to take a gold timepiece belonging to Mr Stevens. The father of two from Yateley, Hampshire died at the scene. McCoy is accused of helping burn the car used during the murder. Alam and Meah are accused of booking a ferry for Razak to enable him to flee the country. Mr Stevens was the grandson of former light-heavyweight boxer Les Stevens, who famously fought John Conteh in the 1970s. His family said their loss was “immeasurable”, adding, “Nothing can undo what has been taken from us. Our lives will never be happy or complete without our Blue. We are pleading with anyone who has any information about this crime or the offender to come forward. Any information, no matter how small, could help our children to know their father’s life mattered.” Detective Chief Inspector Samantha Townsend, from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, said, “We continue to follow every possible line of enquiry as part of our investigation. Our thoughts remain with Blue’s family, who continue to be supported by specialist officers.” Anyone with information is asked to call 0208 721 4961, quoting CAD 8521/09JUL25.
