Police appeal for witnesses to assault that occurred near playground
Police have launched an appeal for witnesses following a serious assault that took place at Acton Common Green last week. The incident occurred on Wednesday, 6 May, at approximately 7:55 pm in the area near the playground. During the encounter, a male was attacked by a group and sustained significant injuries that authorities describe as potentially life-changing. The suspects are described as a group of five to six Black males, aged approximately 16 to 20 years, all of whom were wearing black tracksuits at the time of the assault. Witnesses last saw the group heading in the direction of Hardwicke Road. Detectives are now looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the incident or seen a group matching this description in the area around the time of the attack. Furthermore, the police are requesting that any residents or drivers with CCTV, dashcam, or mobile phone footage from the vicinity come forward. Drivers travelling along South Parade or Acton Lane in particular might have captured images which could be useful Officers have emphasized that any information, regardless of how minor it may seem, could be vital to the ongoing investigation.
