25-year-old man reached Chiswick Park after being assaulted
The victim of a serious assault on Acton Green Common last week managed to make his way to Chiswick Park station to get assistance despite suffering serious injuries. The 25-year-old man was walking home when he was assaulted by a group of five to six Black Males close to Hardwicke Road. The incident occurred on Wednesday, 6 May, at approximately 7:55 pm in the area near the playground. The suspects are described as being aged approximately 16 to 20 years, all of whom were wearing black tracksuits at the time of the assault. Witnesses last saw the group heading in the direction of Hardwicke Road. The victim continued to the London Underground station where he received assistance from British Transport Police officers who were called by station staff and arranged for him to be taken to hospital. The assault was so severe that his condition was originally described as life-threatening but the latest update from the police states that it is now regarded a life-changing. Detectives are now looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the incident or seen a group matching this description in the area around the time of the attack. Furthermore, the police are requesting that any residents or drivers with CCTV, dashcam, or mobile phone footage from the vicinity come forward. Drivers travelling along South Parade or Acton Lane in particular might have captured images which could be useful Officers have emphasized that any information, regardless of how minor it may seem, could be vital to the ongoing investigation.
