The seventeen year old youth who died from his injuries after a car crash in Fauconberg Road has been named as Sean Doyle from Chiswick. He was a passenger in the car which crashed as it was being pursued by the police.

The black Honda Civic had failed to stop for a marked police motorcycle at around 9pm on Monday evening (17th May). The vehicle was pursued into Fauconberg Road where it crashed into two parked cars and a tree.

Sean was taken to hospital with serious head injuries but died the next day.

The suspected driver of the vehicle was a boy aged 15 who was found collapsed nearby. He was taken to hospital but his injuries are not believed to be life threatening. Three of the passengers had to be cut from the vehicle by London Fire Brigade. A 14 year old passenger was also admitted to hospital but he was not critically injured. A 19 year old man was treated in hospital for minor injuries. He was later discharged but was subsequently arrested and is now in custody.

The chase reportedly involved five police cars and a police helicopter which was spotted by many local residents hovering low around the area.

The Directorate of Professional Standards and the Collision Investigation Unit (CIU) officers are carrying out enquiries into the circumstances of the incident. The Independent Police Complaints Commission has been informed.

Anyone with information regarding the collision is asked to contact police on 020 8785 8436.
