A twenty year old woman was attacked on Wavedon Avenue during a street robbery.

The young victim was walking along Wavedon Avenue after midnight on Thursday 7th September when she was attacked from behind and punched in the head.

The victim was then pushed to the floor and her handbag stolen before the suspects ran off in the direction of Sutton Court Road.

The victim was able state there were two suspects, one of whom was a black female about 18 years old, 5’ 08”, wearing a black hooded top with her long hair bunched up in a ponytail.  Unfortunately she was unable to give a description of the second suspect.

Property stolen included an Apple I-Pod and a mobile phone, value about £220. The bag was found abandoned in Sutton Court Road.
