Two valuable coloured engravings have been stolen from a van belonging to Fosters Book Shop.

The black framed, cream mounts of Chiswick House and Chiswick Mall date from the 19th century (pictured below)

Anyone who has information about these prints is asked to call Hounslow CID on 0300 123 1212 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Established in 1968, Fosters is family-run business which has now passed to a second generation of booksellers.

Based in the oldest shop on the Chiswick High Road, which dates from the late 18th century, Fosters specialise in antiquarian books, fine bindings, children's illustrated and first editions, as well as a general stock leaning to literature and the arts.
