Hounslow Council have today removed graffiti sprayed on one of the walls of Christ Church Turnham Green.

Two sentences appeared on the wall yesterday, one in red paint saying 'What else do I say' and another in blue saying 'Everyone is Gay'.

They appear to relate to lyrics taken from the song All Apologies by the late Nivrana singer Kurt Cobain;

What else should I be?
All apologies
What else could I say?
Everyone is gay.

All Apologies was the band's third number one Modern Rock hit and reached number 32 on the UK Singles Chart. Kurt Cobain rarely talked about this song, which is from the album In Utero but he did say that it was dedicated to his wife, Courtney Love, and daughter, Francis Bean.

It was the last single released by the band, as he died four months later.

The vicar, Rev Richard Moy commented: "While not appreciating the graffiti, Christ Church W4 love to welcome people from every background, to join us at any of our sites, events and services in an inclusive loving environment. Like many others I enjoyed Nivarna as a teenager and would like to encourage anyone to 'come as you are' to church this Christmas. Spray paint can be left at the door! "
