Over 500 people turned up at Chiswick Business Park last Friday to relax and take part in the Park’s Work-Life Balance event as part of the Summer –Live events programme in The Square, Chiswick Park. The event aimed to let people try new experiences and different ways to achieve a work life balance which Chiswick Park sees as fundamental to its working.

The event highlighted the importance of taking breaks and making the most of the free time allowed. Guests were given the chance to enjoy free massage and reflexology sessions and there was also the opportunity to speak to nutritionists and take part in relaxation workshops.

There were stalls set up around the events square for guests to try with wine tasting, buy books, and have the chance to paint ceramic tiles, purchase products from Virgin vie, have a manicure and book their summer holiday.

The Enjoy Box, filled with interactive games for groups and individuals was available as usual along with the BBQ. Live music was provided by Gamelan, a group direct from Thailand who will played mysterious and enchanting music.

The event focused on enjoying the park and the Enjoy Box, filled with interactive games for groups and individuals which was expanded to offer free magazines for guests to borrow. The event encouraged guests to take a break and relax and gave the park a real summer beach feel. Massages were also available and there were two market stalls selling clothes and jewellery. Live music from Artisan – a trio playing acoustic renditions of soul artists of the last 40 years accompanied the event.

This is the third year of summer events at Chiswick Business Park and promises to offer an even wider selection of lunchtime activities. Each event will feature live music, a barbeque from The Garden caterers, interactive games for group and individual participation and the “x” factor – which changes each week.

While the events introduce an element of fun into Friday lunchtimes, they also have a more serious role in encouraging workers to try new activities and gain new skills such as team-building and motivation that can be beneficial in the workplace. These events form a key part of the Chiswick Business Park lifestyle where the guests on the Park are actively encouraged to take a break and meet one another.

The events will run every Friday (between 12.00pm-2.00pm) until the end of September and are open both to guests based on the park and to local residents and businesses. The next event – (taking place on Friday 6th August) will be Street Art – a chance for guests to create real works of art.
