Domino's Licence Extension Rejected Again |

Panel concludes that level of existing nuisance warranted refusal
September 7, 2025 Domino’s has failed for a second time in its attempt to extend the opening hours of its Chiswick High Road branch. A fresh hearing was held on Monday (1 September) after the original decision in July was declared invalid. That meeting was ruled void when it emerged that Cllr Ranjit Gill had taken part without being formally appointed to the Licensing and General Purposes Committee, a breach of the council’s constitution. This time a properly constituted panel of Cllr Dan Bowring, Cllr Gabriella Giles and Cllr Karamat Malik considered the application. Domino’s, trading as Delmon Pizza Ltd, wanted permission to serve hot food until 1am every day. The bid was rejected once again after councillors heard from residents who complained about disturbance late at night. In total, 23 objections were received. These referred to noise from delivery drivers and customers, stock deliveries taking place late in the evening, and antisocial behaviour such as littering and urination in nearby alleys. Concerns were also raised about drivers travelling the wrong way along Cranbrook Road, which is one-way. Although the police did not formally oppose the application, they suggested possible licence conditions. The panel decided the level of nuisance already being caused meant the request should be refused outright. As a result, Domino’s will continue to operate under its current permitted hours and will not be able to trade past 11pm.
