‘Scruffy’ Male Attempts High Road Mobile Snatch

But victim’s grip proves too much leaving suspect empty handed

A ‘scruffy’ suspect is sought after attempting to snatch a mobile phone in broad daylight from a man as he walked along the Chiswick High Road.

The incident happened on Monday 12th May at 5.00pm as the 24 year old male was walking past Woolworth chatting on his mobile phone.

He was approached from behind by the suspect who attempted to snatch the phone from his hand.

Realising what was happening, the victim kept a tight grasp on the mobile phone preventing the suspect from taking it.

The suspect made off along the High Road (in the direction of Hammersmith) and got on a black mountain bike.

The suspect is described as a white male of scruffy appearance with very long brown hair, aged approx 30 years, 6’0” wearing a red t-shirt and black trousers.
