Man Cautioned After Cashpoint Theft

Police seek second suspect for incident outside Barclay's bank

A man has been given an adult caution for theft after being arrested for stealing money from a cashpoint whilst a second male distracted their victim.

The incident happened on Wednesday 24th March outside Barclay's bank on the High Road. The female victim was taking money from the cashpoint around 10.20am when she was distracted by one of the two men who were standing close by. Whilst she was looking away, a second male took the her money from the cashpoint and ran away.

An eye witness called the Police to the scene where one of the suspects was arrested.

A Police spokesman told ChiswickW4.com that a man was given adult caution for the offence of theft.

He went onto to give a description of the second suspect as a 6' tall male of east European appearance with brown hair wearing a dark jacket, dark blue jeans, brown footwear, red/orange scarf, carrying a dark man bag.
